Week 9 was a pretty busy one!
Day 1 was all about leadership which we began in the office of Theresa Griffin MEP, where we discussed the importance of voting amongst young people with Mark Spencer-Scragg, Office Manager.
After this we had the pleasure of going on one of Ken Pye’s famous Discover Liverpool coach tours; learning all about the history of our city and also what the future may hold.
Robin Ireland of Health Equalities Group joined us in the afternoon to discuss the issues his organisation is tackling.
We then headed to the offices of Trinity Mirror North West to learn about the importance of leadership in organisations with managing director Carl Wood.
Our leadership day was concluded with two brilliant young leaders in the city; Matt Bell of Revolver Retail and Lindsay Inglesby of Rare Studio.
The next day we spent some time at Blackburne House Group with the incredible Sylvia Pearson of School for Social Entrepreneurs; where we learnt all about the important role social enterprises play in our society today.
