In October, we were proud to host one of our favourite moments in the Agent Academy calendar, our annual environmental action event, Climate Change Careers, co-created by young people, for young people. Now in its fixth year, this gathering has become a powerful platform for emerging voices to explore how they can make a meaningful difference in the places they live and study, and far beyond.
This year, more than 100 of young people joined us for an inspiring afternoon of bold ideas, honest conversations and hopeful futures. The energy in the room was unmistakable, curiosity, ambition and a collective determination to learn, share and take action.
Designed and Co-Created by Young People
What makes this event so special is that it’s shaped directly by the community of young people who attend. From designing the activities to hosting the sessions, Agent Academy young people take the lead in curating an experience that reflected their priorities, ambitions and visions for a greener, fairer future.
Together, they crafted an event centred on environmental action, not just the big global challenges, but the practical steps we can take closer to home. The goal was simple, to show young people that they can make a difference and that change starts with the actions we take in our own communities and what jobs we do in the future.
A Space for Inspiration, Learning and Action
Across fast-paced activities, future-focused discussions and lightning talks, attendees explored everything from green careers to climate innovation. Young people analysed future newspaper headlines from 2048 and 2050, debated the breakthroughs that could shape our world and reflected on what skills, knowledge and leadership will be needed to get us there.
Experts and industry leaders joined us to share real-world insights on clean energy, digital innovation and the transition to a more sustainable future. Their generosity and openness helped attendees connect big ideas to real opportunities and left many feeling more confident and empowered about the paths ahead.
